April 2018 sees the launch of Stoke-on-Trent’s brand new care and wellbeing Advocacy Hub. City residents entitled to statutory advocacy will now be able to source it from one organisation.
Advocacy supports people to have their voices heard, so that their views and wishes are listened to and understood when important decisions are being made about their care and wellbeing.
People requiring advocacy under the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Care Act, including some parents, will be referred to an advocate by social care staff. The advocacy hub will also help anyone who wishes to make a complaint about an NHS service to do so.

The Hub is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm.
The Hub will be delivered by Asist, who have a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality advocacy services.
