Quality Performance Mark

Asist is delighted to announce that it has become one of the first advocacy groups in the country to be awarded Action 4 Advocacy’s Quality Performance Mark (QPM).  The qualification was gained following a rigorous assessment by external independent assessor and reflects the excellent work being undertaken by staff and volunteers at Asist.

10 years as an Investor of People!

In October 2009 Asist successfully passed its latest Investors in People assessment, marking a significant achievement of 10 years of IIP recognition.  The assessment stated that “The organisation has developed an open, honest and friendly culture with particular emphasis on integrity, teamwork, equal involvement and professionalism.  All employees embraced the aims of the organisation and believed that it was the training and development received which enabled them to achieve the standards of excellence required. “

                             Congratulations to all involved!

Mental Health Resource Centre Project

The funding to supply advocacy to people using the Mental Health Resource Centres in North Staffordshire came to an end on 1st October 2009.  This extremely popular project supplying advocacy via drop-ins at the 5 centres in North Staffordshire had been funded by the National Lottery for the past 6 years.  Asist continues to seek further funding for this project; in the meantime anyone using the Resource Centres can request an advocate from the North Staffs Generic Project.
