Creative Communication

Asist argues that creative communication is everyone's responsibility. For people whose primary mode of communication is not verbal we need to explore the many ways that individuals can effectively communicate.

Asist has worked closely with people with learning disabilities and specialists such as speech and language therapists to develop tools for creative communication. Using established techniques and a range of existing and new tools, we promote creative communication to support the involvement of people in decision making processes.

Asist is delighted to offer a one day course, designed and delivered by practising advocates, to explore the ethics, values, challenges and skills for creative communication.

The cost of the course is:

• Third Sector, £75 at discounted rate or full cost at £85
• Other organisations, £95 at discounted rate or full cost at £105

The discounted rate is available when you book at least one month prior to the course start date, or when you book on more than one Asist training course. Cost includes course material, refreshments and lunch. Any surplus from Asist's training activities is dedicated to the provision of advocacy services.
